Let’s get you signed in.
You need the email address that received your invitation, your password and your phone.
First time? Set up your account.
- Open the invitation email. Choose Set up my access. The link works for 48 hours. It is only for you.
- Choose a password. Use at least 14 characters. A few unrelated words can be easier to remember. Type the same password in both boxes, then continue.
- Set up your phone code. The website shows a square picture called a QR code. Open your authenticator app on your phone, add an account and scan the picture. An authenticator is an app that makes security codes. Google Authenticator and Microsoft Authenticator are examples.
- Enter the six-digit code. Find the Mooney entry in the app. Type its current code on the website and continue. If you are using only a phone, choose Using only your phone, or cannot scan? for the other setup method.
- Save your spare sign-in codes. Write them down and keep them somewhere safe, or save them in a password manager. Then choose Open database.
Already set up? Sign in.
- Open the Mooney sign-in page.
- Enter your email and password. Choose Continue.
- Open your authenticator app. Find Mooney and enter the current six-digit code. Choose Open database.
You do not need the invitation link again. Save the sign-in page as a bookmark.
Something not working?
I do not have an authenticator app.
Install Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator from your phone’s official app store. If you cannot use a phone or need help, contact the person who invited you before continuing.

I am waiting for a code by email or text.
The sign-in code is not emailed or texted. Open your authenticator app and look for Mooney. If there is no Mooney entry yet, follow the first-time setup steps above.
My invitation has expired, or I cannot find it.
Check your junk or spam folder. If it is not there, ask the person who invited you for a new invitation. Only the newest invitation works. If you already set up your account, use the normal sign-in page.
My security code was not accepted.
Make sure you selected Mooney in your app. Wait for a new six-digit code and enter it before it changes. Check that your phone sets its date and time automatically. After too many attempts, wait 15 minutes and sign in again.
I forgot my password, or lost my phone.
If only your phone is unavailable, enter one unused spare sign-in code in the security-code box. You still need your password. Otherwise, contact the person who invited you for help restoring access. They will need to check your identity.
